Always a colorfull parrot
The inspiration for Always a Colourful Parrot came from a visit to a bird sanctuary, where the artist noticed a parrot
that was unusually quiet and wasn’t flying around like the others. Despite being incredibly colourful and beautiful,
there was a visible sadness in its presence.
Curious, the artist asked the caretaker why the parrot seemed unhappy. The answer was heartbreaking—the parrot’s
baby had passed away that very morning.
The artist carried that moment home and began painting. The small parrot depicted below the larger bird represents
the baby that was lost, creating a quiet emotional connection between the two.
The painting became more than a portrait of a bird. It became a reflection on life itself. We can experience loss,
sadness and difficult moments, yet the colours of life continue to exist within us.
Like the parrot, we may carry sadness that others cannot see, while still remaining beautiful, vibrant and full of life.
We may have our sad days, but life will always give us reasons to be colourful in some or other way. Accept both .
